HAKUBA

Buying equipment for a few weeks use per year for ever-growing children will burn a hole in your pocket pretty fast. Equipment Rental is the ideal option for the kids, newcomers, demo-curious, or those wanting to travel light. Many travel packages or schools will offer rental through a particular store, however if you're booking for yourself, here are some options.

CENTRAL SNOWSPORTS - 3 locations in Hakuba: Happo near the gondola; opposite the Sakka lifts, Upper Wadano & Goryu. They also offer a guest shuttle to pick you up and drop you off to your accommodation. 

SPICY RENTALS - 6 locations in Hakuba: Happo, Upper Wadano, Echoland, Iwatake, Tsugaike & Goryu.

RHYTHM JAPAN is located close to Kokusai lift and EISS at Happo base 

WOODY SKI & SNOWBOARD HIRE have two stores in Happo. 

High quality Skis/ Boards,Boots, & poles combos, Helmets (advisable), Jacket & Pants are all available. Again, good to book early for peak season. rentals - you don't want to catch yourself without your preferred gear! Should you be purchasing some items such as innerwear and outerwear, gloves, goggles etc in your home town or in Tokyo, there are some gems mentioned on our TRIP ESSENTIALS & PLANNER.

LIFT PASSES The ALL MOUNTAIN lift pass for access to the 9 ski resorts is the best option. Kids under 5 ski free.

Night skiing passes are not included. 

If your package does not include passes, then purchase at various Hakuba mountain base counters or online.
